Pat Cummins has been named captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2024 IPL

<p>The Sunrisers Hyderabad club will be captained by Australia’s World Cup-winning skipper, Pat Cummins, in the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL), the franchise confirmed on Monday.</p>

<p>The 30-year-old bowler became the second most expensive player in the history of the tournament when he was acquired by SRH for an incredible Rs 20.50 crore at the IPL auctions in December of last year.</p>
<p>Aiden Markram, a South African, commanded SRH in the 2023 season until Cummins took over.</p>
<p>The SRH posted a photo of Pat Cummins along with the statement, “Our new captain Pat Cummins,” on social media.</p>
<p>In the IPL, Cummins has previously played for the Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders.</p>
